Editorial Insights and Implications: Still No Net for Everybody - World Wide Web @ 25

As I began writing in this space in our May, 2012 anniversary issue of INTELLIGENCE, I'm dedicated to seeing a time, soon, when there will be net access for everyone, everywhere, all the time. Until then, I'll keep calling attention to its lack by noting, in each issue's EDITORIAL: "Still no net for everybody." In the almost two years since I started assiduously tracking developments that will, eventually, I hope, bring the net to everyone. Many developments, most very early stage and some just words and promises, have emerged from the technology community. Most promising have been the announced intentions of two large, major tech companies, Google and Facebook, to pursue similar goals of connecting the world over the net.
