A recent research report into UK residential energy efficiency products market development carried out by MBD was very positive about prospects for the thermal insulation market. The report looked first at data for the double glazing sector, the value of which has fluctuated during the five year review period -2002 to 2007, and at the central heating sector which has increased each year of the review period. Both have been boosted by a number of government programmes, including Warm Front, the Energy Efficiency Commitment, and the recently introduced Home Information Packs. The UK building thermal insulation sector however, is believed to have demonstrated the strongest growth rate in the residential energy efficiency market.
