It will not have gone unnoticed that BInstNDT has developed a sound working relationship with HSE on matters of radiation protection and it is our intention to continue what has become a most useful dialogue. This note is the first of what we hope will become a regular INSIGHT feature on radiation safety in which views and opinions are expressed reflecting existing legislation and industrial practice. Mike Fletcher will be keeping an eye on industry activity and reporting for us. The INSIGHT slot offers opportunities for Institute members to air views and seek clarification on all matters pertaining to radiation safety.
