Dr Alistair McNab has got what he believes to be the best job in a university, that of a senior lecturer, where he says that "You get a reasonable amount of pay and none of the hassle of being a Prof." He presently occupies the dream job in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, where he teaches both Information Technology and Marine Technology. His CV shows an impressive number of committees sat on and other supervisory duties. Perhaps he has a higher hassle threshold than the rest of us. He certainly seemed perfectly bright-eyed and bushy tailed and not at all frazzled when he got out of his car after the very long journey from Glasgow.
