The apprentice

While working at Drax Power Station in Yorkshire on a boiler/ turbine outage as a Tech Clerk, I met a number of NDT engineers who introduced me to the wide-ranging role - from computer skills to engineering know-how. It was this vast opportunity within quite a specialist field that sparked my interest in following this career path. I was approached by Roger Lyon, Inspection Management Group Head of RWE Power International, to see if I would be interested in taking up an apprenticeship opportunity the company was offering and I jumped at the chance.
