Programme for the Assessment of NDT in Industry - PANI 3 Terms of Reference

These Terms of Reference for the PANI 3 Management Committee are very important for NDT practitioners and for the industry as a whole. The PANI ('Programme for the Assessment of NDT in Industry') project is funded by the Health and Safety Executive. The first two phases provided information on the performance of ultrasonic operators and one of the findings was the large variability in performance. The third phase of the project - PANI 3 - is intended to try to identify the factors which lead to that variability. If PANI 3 is going to be useful to the industry, it is important that all people who might be affected make their views known. These views may be sent by e-mail to Robin Shipp, who sits on the Management Committee representing the Institute and Certification and Training Bodies.
