GE's computed radiography qualified for weld inspection at Petrobras

Using GE's CR 50P portable computed radiography scanner and patented phosphor imaging plates (IP) from GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies, Petrobras has qualified the computed radiography weld inspection on pipes up to 3.5 inches (89 mm) in diameter. This is said to be the first time an inspection on pipes of this diameter has ever been validated using digital radiography.
