An interesting and thought-provoking evening

There are some Branch meetings that surprise you and maintain your interest in ways that you do not expect. Tony Dunhill, the new President of BINDT, gave a presentation covering his outlook on BINDT, which was one of these. Very early on in the presentation Tony admitted to a liking for cracks, which he picked up at university whilst working with MTD in Wales. He was involved in some penetrant testing of a ship's engine mounts, which were cracked due to a sharp notch in their design, and was given the acceptance criteria of: 'if they are smaller than the length of your foot, they are OK'.
