COMMENT

This month's issue of Insight contains five technical papers covering a wide range of techniques and applications and illustrates well the broad scope of our work area. Among the topics contained within the papers, I note several that have become increasingly significant in recent years, such as the total focusing method (TFM), theoretical modelling (including comparisons between modelling predictions and experimental measurements), wavelet transform analysis, the evaluation of a material's mechanical properties using NDT, magnetic testing methods and so on. I am sure that you will find something of interest among these diverse papers.
