DOD Signs Interoperability MOU For Ground-Based Air Defense C2

The Pentagon has signed a memorandum of understanding with more than a dozen countries to help enhance the interoperability of the command and control elements of their ground-based air defense systems, according to a recent notification to Congress. In his July 2 letter to lawmakers, Keith Webster, the Defense Department's director of international cooperation, states that the MOU will help to "develop and test improvements in ground-based air defense command and control" that will update interfaces, while helping to find possible software and hardware changes that will help enhance interoperability.
