Com Ed Seeks Transmission Rate Incentives For 22 Projects Under Pjm Regional Planning

Commonwealth Edison is seeking incentive rate treatment for nearly two dozen transmission projects that are, or are expected to be, designated as baseline enhancement projects under PJM Interconnection's regional transmission expansion plan (RTEP).rnA return on equity adder of 150 basis points was requested as incentive for Com Ed's investment in each of the 22 projects, which together are estimated to cost more than $217 million, and an additional 50-point adder was sought for the use of advanced technology by two of the projects. Under the terms of a settlement, Com Ed's baseline ROE is set at 11.5% and, with incentives, is capped at 13%.
