Texas Gas plan to hike pipeline capacity out of Fayetteville Shale approved by FERC

FERC last week cleared the way for Texas Gas Transmission to build and operate its Fayetteville Shale compression project, designed to hike takeaway capacity on its system from the production area in north-central Arkansas and provide access to markets in the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast.rnFiled in September (CP08-467), the project design features two new compressor stations to support Chesapeake Energy and XTO Energy gas production in the region (IF, 15 Sept, 12). Southwestern Energy and Petrohawk Energy also have options in their existing transportation agreements to use some of the additional capacity.
