Against a background of low gas prices and crippled credit markets, executives at the LDC Gas Forum last week zeroed in on storage as a bright spot for the gas industry as supply continues to far outpace demand.rn"The value of storage is still tremendously robust," said Peter Tumminello, Sequent Energy Management's executive vice president for business development and support. "We've seen a lot of activity in the storage spaces, a lot of development going on. Some of it's being delayed due to the environmental issues and the economy, . . . but fundamentally, as the near-term prices have gone down, storage spreads have increased" significantly.
