FERC, California agree to coordinate efforts on processing, licensing hydrokinetic projects

California and FERC have inked a deal to coordinate theirnreviews of ocean and river hydrokinetic projects proposed innstate waters.nUnder the memorandum of understanding made public Mayn18, state resource agencies, the California Public Utility Commissionnand FERC will work together on procedures and schedules fornreviewing the potential environmental effects of wave and tidalnprojects proposed in state rivers and the ocean.
