FERC last week approved California Independent SystemnOperator’s proposed compliance filing for how entities will operatenwithin the system while their market-based rate authority isnsuspended, rejecting a request by Southern California Edison tonmodify the proposal to ensure that entities cannot participatenthrough “a third-party scheduling coordinator.”nSpecifically, FERC’s July 1 order found that Cal-ISO’s filingncomplied with a March 19 order over how JP Morgan VenturesnEnergy and other future entities would operate if their marketbasednrate authority is suspended (ER13-872).
