The Midcontinent Independent System Operator has submittedseveral key filings to federal regulators in recent days to improve itspricing during emergencies, including clarifying the way MISO setsprices when load must be shed during catastrophic events likehurricanes.The changes are significant because MISO has seen a growingnumber of emergency events in recent years, including six loadshedding events during 2020 and 2021 due to hurricanes andextremely cold weather.
