FERC rejects MISO request to delay storage rule implementation

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on May 17 rejected theMidcontinent Independent System Operator’s request to delayimplementation of the agency’s landmark storage rule by nearlythree years.The agency said the 15-state grid operator failed to show thatprioritizing renewable energy-related market enhancements overcompliance with the storage rule is necessary for reliability reasons.
