A Duke Energy subsidiary told the Federal Energy RegulatoryCommission it expects its 182.4-MW Maryneal wind farm project tobegin generating power in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas’sWest Zone in the fourth quarter of 2020.Duke Energy Renewables told FERC in a filing June 29 the projectwill include interconnection facilities with its neighboring 151-MWSweetwater facility, which is also located in Nolan County, Texas.When completed, the Maryneal facility will become the Duke unit’s 11thwind farm in Texas, which will have a combined capacity of 1.763 GW. Thecompany’s nationwide count of wind farms is 23, with a combinedcapacity of 3,043 MW, once its Frontier II facility in Oklahoma is completed.
