Major changes for FERC envisioned by House Democrats’ climate change blueprint

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission would be given sweepingnew authority to help address climate change under the manyrecommendations of a plan released June 30 by the Democraticmajority on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.The 547-page document includes hundreds of policyrecommendations touching on wide swaths of the American economyin an attempt to aggressively curb greenhouse gas emissions andmitigate the worst impacts of climate change.
