FERC declines to revisit position on eminent domain use for gas pipelines

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rejected an environmental group’s request that the agency reconsider a statement of its position on eminent domain that supported natural gas pipelines in a case now before the US Supreme Court. Among other business at its Thursday public meeting, FERC denied Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s request for rehearing of the commission’s January 30 declaratory order. The FERC order and others were not immediately available after the meeting.
