California Independent System Operator is seeking amendments to tariff provisions on how proxy demand resources provide flexible resource adequacy capacity, according a filing Wednesday with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The ISO is asking the commission to issue an order accepting the proposed revisions by July 29, with an effective date of August 1, which coincides with the expiration of an existing tariff waiver. A commission order by that date would provide the ISO and market participants needed regulatory certainty before the planned implementation, according to the filing (ER20-1904).
