The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s newest member, James Danly, jumped right into voting at his first monthly commission meeting and offered remarks suggesting he has ambitions of extending the majority’s price formation policies into new areas. In opening remarks Thursday, Danly praised rehearing orders upholding sweeping changes to PJM Interconnection’s capacity market by a 3-1 vote as an important step in ensuring adequate price signals in capacity markets, but he also took that idea further.
