CFTC agrees on Brexit fine tuning, splits over swap dealer tweaks

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission took another step toeasing global derivative market uncertainty in light of the UK’s exit fromthe European Union by ensuring that certain uncleared swaps wouldnot suddenly face CFTC margin requirements from which they werepreviously excluded.An interim final rule, approved unanimously by the commissionMonday, would apply only in the event the UK exits the EU without anegotiated withdrawal agreement.
