ROE, incentives to get hard look as FERC launches review of transmission policies

With an eye on shaping the grid of the future, the Federal EnergyRegulatory Commission opened inquiries into ways it could improve itstransmission incentives policy and better determine the appropriatereturn on equity used to set rates, Chairman Neil Chatterjee saidThursday.“Getting these policies right will be critical to ensuring that theenergy revolution we’re currently undergoing results in more reliableservices and lower prices for customers,” Chatterjee said duringFERC’s open meeting.
