Aimed at separating the hype from reality, a new report commissionedby the Utilities Technology Council said the emergence of 5G networkscould provide opportunities for electric utilities to enhance operationsand expand revenue streams. However, a litany of policy questionssurrounding deployment of 5G services continues to cast a shadow ofuncertainty over future prospects.
