The newzone includes 2,200 MW of coal-fired generation capacity along with705 miles of 345-kilovolt transmission lines, the grid operator saidDecember 3.“PJM determined that OVEC met the membership requirementsoutlined in the PJM Operating Agreement and that its integration wouldnot cause any reliability challenges for PJM,” the grid operator said in astatement.
