On-Demand Telecare Using Telepresence and Robotic Technology for Assistive Environments

Recent years have seen the advent of widely deployable sensor networks and minuscule computers that bring us closer to a new era of ubiquitous and pervasive computing. However, the closer we get in creating pervasive spaces, the more is the need to program them well to be put into applications. A lot of the first generation pervasive computing systems have failed to evolve as applications because the domain matured and a new technology arose.
