Recent trends have shown that there has been a sudden burst of interest among Internet users toward video sharing through various public content sharing sites. This trend has had an immensely negative impact on broadcasters in terms of affecting their viewership and financial revenues. However, viewers are increasingly keen to have an intuitive platform, which permits them to donate content to the broadcasts being telecast across the media channels. Despite the enormous demand for interactive content viewing among users, broadcasters have not been able to integrate optimum user-interaction functionalities into their routine broadcasts, as there is a severe lack of competent management tools for handling the intricaternaspects of user-generated content (UGC) broadcasting. These aspects comprehensively include all functions ranging from ingesting and scrutinizing the video content, to integrating them into the standardized commercial broadcasting formats.rnToward addressing this challenge, Israel-based iPoint-media Ltd. has developed an innovative solution called GoLiveTV. GoLiveTV has been developed in collaboration with IBM's MediaHub solution. The solution mainly aims at providing a robust framework for enabling broadcasters to integrate UGC viewing into their broadcasts. The solution serves as a potent tool, which ably handles the complete process of acquiring, ingesting, moderating the UGC. Further to the moderation, the solution also handles the final phase of delivering and distribution of the content.
