Depleting energy sources, and the growing demand for alternative energy sources have resulted in stakeholders considering fuel cells as alternatives for automobiles, as they produce energy without emitting any harmful gases that could affect the environment. Another primary factor is that they operate making little or no noise. Thus, the energy generation process is considered clean and green. For instance, fuel cells are being employed to power automobiles. Direct methanol (CH3OH) fuel cells (DMFCs) are being considered for lower end mobility application, such as mopeds.
