The large-scale production of cement for use in infrastructure development in emerging nations such as India poses a hazard to the environment. To conserve the environment, it is necessary for a researcher to investigate the use of industrial waste instead of natural resources for sustainable development. Granite processing sludge waste generated during the cutting of granite stone blocks into the thin slabs, causing environmental problems and land degradation. This study aims to explore the use of granite cutting sludge waste as cement replacement in permeable concrete. In this study, cement is replaced by mechanically treated granite processing sludge waste at 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% with silica fume (5%) in the development of ternary blended permeable concrete. In the experimental program, compressive strength, flexure strength, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, water absorption, and water permeability test were carried out to assess the impact of mechanical treated granite processing sludge waste in permeable concrete. As a result of various tests, it was found that 5% of mechanical treated granite processing sludge waste with 5% silica fume can be used as a fractional replacement of binder material cement in the production of the ternary permeable concrete. Therefore, mechanical treated granite processing sludge waste as a substitute of cement to a limited extent can be utilized to produce eco-friendly permeable concrete.
