McDonald's supplier says 'I'm lovin' it' following upgrade from hot foil to thermal transfer coder

After around a decade of using Allen Coding's Compact 80/45 hot foil coder, Swedish company Procordia Food AB, which specialises in ketchup and dressings, has upgraded to an Allen 53Lti thermal transfer unit. As the largest manufacturer of ketchup in Northern Europe, supplying 27,000 tons in 2009 alone, much of which ends up in McDonald's restaurants throughout the Nordic countries, Procordia has very specific labeling requirements and high demands regarding adhesion. Following the incorporation of a new production line to provide increased capacity, Procordia felt that the time was right to replace the old Allen hot foil machine with a new thermal transfer coder.
