GEA has acquired Hilge, a leading supplier of hygienic pumps, which strengthens its position as a provider of solutions for hygienic and aseptic process environments. The products of Hilge - until now part of the Grundfos Group-will now be marketed under the brand CEA Hilge. Together with GEA Tuchenhagen pumps, the GEA Hilge products will constitute the Business Area GEA Hygienic Pumps. The company Hilge, based in Bcdenheim (Germany), is specialized in products that include stainless steel centrifugal pumps. GEA, with its orientation to the process industry - especially the food and beverages industry - represents a strong strategic partner for Hilge. This acquisition will enable the realization of extensive synergy potential: for example, in the area of research and development. In addition, the worldwide CEA sales and service network will offer the possibility of a strengthened global presence.
