Balluff introduces hundreds of new products to its portfolio

Leading sensors specialists Balluff has added hundreds of products to its portfolio following the acquisition of high precision manufacturer Sensor Technologie Munchen (STM). STM joined the Balluff Group, earlier this year, bringing with it expertise in micro -optical components including a patented production process for LED, pho-todiode, phototransistor, and laser diode units. As a result more than 500 products have been added to Balluff s existing range and the company plans to expand further its sensor miniaturisation offering for industrial automation. Bryan Hall from Balluff UK said:' "The integration of STM into the Balluff group means we are now able to offer an even wider wide range of specialist products. We're particularly pleased to be able to implement exceptional optical precision in extremely small housings, giving reliable detection of tiny objects in tight spaces - without any interference from reflections in the surrounding area."
