Fortress takes meat metal detection sensitivity to new heights at IFFA 2019

At IFFA 2019, on stand 11.1.C71, Fortress Technology will unveil how producers of low-profile meats - including ground beef, burgers, thin deli products such as Parma ham and poultry, as well as popular snack meats like Jerky and Biltong, can achieve the highest metal detection sensitivity on the planet. Forming the centrepiece of the stand will be the first European demonstration of the Interceptor DF (Divergent Field). It is especially sensitive to ultra-thin metal contaminant flakes and foils that are difficult to detect on low profile, high value meats. To increase food safety, the Interceptor DF system addresses several previous limitations - notably orientation, size, geometry and position of metals. It's especially reliable at detecting very thin flakes and foils that could be introduced in the mincing, grinding, cooking or slicing processes.
