Bill Clinton's pardon process wasn't the only thing under investigation on the Hill last week. The House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet held a hearing on the selection of domain names by the Internet Corporation For Assigned Names And Numbers. In November, the organization unveiled its suggestions for seven new domains, including .biz, .info, and .museum. The names came from a selection process some found shrouded in secrecy—not to mention the $50,000 nonrefundable fee required to have a domain name considered.
