FED TECH CZAR LEAVES POST FOR STARTUP

Mark forman, the highly effective and well-liked federal IT czar, left office Friday to form an as-yet nameless startup in California. Forman is credited with having defined the federal E-government initiative since becoming associate director for IT just over two years ago, a job that was renamed administrator for E-government and IT in the White House Office of Management and Budget. "Mark's individually responsible for a lot of the E-government success to date," says David McClure, VP at the Council For Excellence In Government and a former IT director at the Government Accounting Office.
