SharePoint,one of the fastest-growing applications in the Windows environment, may turn into a serious security liability for some companies. The SharePoint collaboration tool is spreading quickly through companies in part because it provides much-needed collaboration tools in an easy-to-use suite. In fact, it's simple enough that employees and workgroups at times deploy it without the IT department's help.That can leave those companies with unsecured SharePoint deployments that include sensitive data.
