Microsoft Stays In Browser Race With Revitalized IE9

Microsoft signaled its intent to remain the leader in the Web browser race with the release of the Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview at the MIX 10 conference in Las Vegas.rnIE9 supports new elements in HTML5,the next-generation standard for Web pages, and hardware acceleration to hasten the rendering of graphics and text. Perhaps most noteworthy, IE9 features a new JavaScript engine, called Chakra, and performs about six times faster than IE8 in the WebKit SunSpider JavaScript benchmark test.
