Amid a recovering economy, technology merger and acquisition activity took off in 2010, as the number of deals and to tal deal value hit their highest levels since 2007, according to a detailed analysis released this month by Ernst & Young. The mobile, so cial, cloud computing, storage, security, and analytics segments drove much of that activity, along with healthcare and clean energy.
