One of the most talked-about aspects of Apple's iPad was the potential for full-fledged digital periodicals. That notion is again in the spotlight with the launch of The Daily, a daily digital newspaper owned by News Corp. that will cover world and national news, entertainment, sports, technology, and opinion. The digital newspaper was unveiled at a combined Apple and News Corp. event on Feb. 2, where Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. CEO, and Eddy Cue, vice president of Apple's iTunes, were on hand to promote the venture.
