Elliott Hauser was recently awarded the 2012 Roger K. Summit Scholarship from ProQuest. Hauser, who is a doctoral candidate in information science at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, is researching the problem of data description and its changes in sources, transformations, and analyses during the research process. The scholarship, which honors Dialog, LLC founder Roger K. Summit (a noted pioneer in developing online information retrieval services), is awarded to a graduate student who demonstrates an "understanding of digital information services, academic achievement, and interest in the field of electronic information services.
