Librarians and info pros who attended the 2013 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago witnessed the ongoing shifts in the library community firsthand: Budgets are improving slightly overall, but the move to digital has hit warp speed. A new ProQuest-sponsored report, based on a survey conducted by the Library Resource Guide with Unisphere Research (a division of Information Today, Inc.), tracks the many changes reverberating in libraries from coast to coast. "Libraries: At the Epicenter of the Digital Disruption" parses new critical data into three key sections-Library Finances: Public Libraries Regroup; Library Technologies and Services: Ebooks on the Rise; and Library Strategies: Redefining Mission for the Digital Age.
