Foreword

摘要

Information integration has received considerable attention from the academic community. However, many open problems still act as a hindrance for the adoption of information integration techniques in practice. The New Trends in Information Integration workshop held in conjunction with VLDB 2008 provided a platform for researchers to brainstorm on such problems. The workshop saw a gathering of researchers with a passion for information integration and had an interesting program with papers from diverse domains.
