Challenging the conventional view of PKI -Will It Really Work?

We have presented a number of very significant and essential security problems in the X.509 solutions being provided today for security in EC. Many of the problems seem to originate From the fact that those building the security Solutions understand very little of business and Trading, be it electronic or not. There is in fact a danger that we get it so Wrong, that in the end that security will only (continue to) play a role in closed systems with a particular business focus, and most, if not all legislation on the subject will be a waste, except for communication between citizens and public authorities.
