Interfacing with Smartcard Applications- (The OpenCard Framework and PC/SC)

Over the last two years the smartcard scene has changed considerably, both at he hardware and software level. More powerful microprocessors and new software technologies (application code interpretation and dynamic application downloading) have made smartcard technology much more accessible-to non-smartcard experts. This article presents the technological advances that are helping implementors to develop applications that require access to smartcard residing applications, and comments on some of the arising security issues.
