高等学校の普通教科「情報」を軸に，日本におrnける“情報教育”について，マクロな視点から概rn説する。本稿の構成は次の通りである。rnまず，第2章において「情報」という教科が生まrnれた経緯を見る。次に第3章において教科「情報」rnの概要と現状を“情報教育”という視点から概観rnする。次に第4章において次期指導要領の見通しをrn述べる。そして第5章で，教科「情報」と“情報教rn育”の問題点を概観する。%We outline information education in elementary and secondary education in Japan with a subject named "Information Studies". First, we outline how the government researched information education when introducing it into the previous curriculum guidelines. Next, we outline how the government introduced the subject named "Information Studies" into the current curriculum. Next, we describe the syllabus of information education, the location of the subject "Information Studies" in information education, the contents of the subject "Information Studies", and the current status of the subject "Information Studies". Finally, we make a prediction about the next curriculum guidelines and outline the problems of information education in elementary and secondary education in relation to the subject "Information Studies".
