Athousand people came to the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel and Conference Center in Seoul, Korea, from September 5th to 7th to attend the first International Display Manufacturing Conference (IDMC) and the accompanying trade show, FPD Expo Korea (Fig. 1). IDMC was sponsored by the Korea Chapter of the Society for Information Display and the Korean Information Display Society, along with other organizations; FPD Expo Korea was sponsored by SEMI Korea and the Electronic Display Industrial Research Association of Korea (EDIRAK).
