Amazon Has Its Own Smartphone

Amazon recently announced the Amazon Fire Phone, its first-ever smartphone. The glass-backed Fire Phone has a 4.7-in. display with a resolution of 315 ppi. It runs on a 2.2-GHz Snapdragon 800 quad core processor and comes with 2 GB of RAM. Notable features include "dynamic perspective," which produces a somewhat three-dimensional imagery effect; Firefly technology, which captures and processes information including barcodes, text, music, videos, and actual products (that you can then buy); and its price - $650 without a contract.
