Web designers and web users: Influence of the ergonomic quality of the web site on the information search

Much research has been done on the cognitive processes of users navigating the Web and the problems they encounter, but few studies focus on the designers' perspective. Chevalier and Kicka assert that determining differences in search behaviour between users and designers will clarify the reasons why designers cannot sufficiently take into account users' needs when creating web sites.
