Special issue containing selected expanded papers from the 17th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety and Security of Distributed Systems (SSS 2015)

The papers in this special issue of Information and Computation are the expanded and revised versions of selected papers that appeared in a preliminary form in the Proceedings of the 17th International Symposium on Stabilization, Safety and Security of Distributed Systems (SSS 2015). The meeting was held from August 18th to August 21st, 2015 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The symposium received 38 regular paper submissions. Each submission was reviewed by at least three Program Committee members with the help of external reviewers. Out of these 38 submissions, 16 papers were accepted for presentation at the symposium and publication in the proceedings as regular papers. The proceedings also included eight brief announcements.
